Need information
I'm looking at a 2013 F150 FX4 Ecoboost to replace my 2005 Nissan Titan. I like to do research before I buy and would like to determine if this truck has the Max Tow Package. Looking at the mirrors, they don't seem to be the "towing mirrors", but just am not sure. I have a pic of the door sticker - is it possible to determine the axle ratio from that? It's at a Dodge dealership and the salesman isn't familiar with Ford's. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

3.55 Non Limited Slip. I didn't think a max tow package would come on an FX4.
Also, the Tow mirrors weren't standard on the Max Tow package on Canadian trucks. It was an option. If you are interested in this truck go over it with a fine tooth comb. Get underneath and inspect the frame for rust. It does look clean. There is probably a decent amount of room to negotiate since it is a Canadian truck and was probably a pretty cheap auction buy.

I think it's the same on Canadian Trucks as well. I think the only difference is the tow mirrors are optional.

Max tow option with a SCrew 4x4, with 3.73 is 11,200# and a GCVWR of 17,100# for the 3.5 Ecoboost. 9,600# with the 3.55 (L9) axle; according to the 2013 F150 towing capacity chart.

No, I don't have to have it. I prefer the 3.55 gears, but wanted the larger mirrors and tranny cooler. From researching on here, it sounds like it'll do well even without the Max Tow Package. Thank you!

From everything I've read, the trans cooler is the same between tow package & max tow. I have the cooler, brake controller, and 3.55 EL Diff. I too like the larger mirrors because I'm used to my old F250 tow mirrors. You can add them yourself though -- they can be found online and installed pretty easily. The Max tow adds 3.73 gears and bigger mirrors.
