Keys, Locks, & Ignitions
Well I'm back to working on my '49... Hopefully we have some locksmiths out there. Working on the keys, lock and Ignition cylinder for 48-52 trucks... Several questions I have are does anyone know the Depth & Spacing of our keys? How many key options did they offer for our trucks? I want to make some depth keys to make a new master keys for my truck. I have 5 different keys and have started taking measurement to figure things out. I have a Curtis No 15, but all the parts and info I have with it is for GM. I've been thinking about a Key duplication machine along with Depth & Spacing keys I can make the new key with it too.
I want to build a door lock and ignition switch that both use the same key. If you have old original Key, door lock cylinder, and/or ignition cylinder you don't need let me know and we can try and work something out? Thanks everyone!
