Transmission Fluid Flush On 2000 E150
Hello,
I plan to flush the transmission fluid in the E150. Just want to see if anyone did it before.
Need to know which is the fluid return line into the transmission.
How to indentify the type of transmission I have?
Which type of transmission fluid is best for the E-series van?

If I let the engine runs about 10 - 30 seconds and so that the transmission fluid drain into a milk jug to about half gallon and then replenish half gallon of new fluid into the transmission, will that work?
I ask because I recently install a transmission cooler on a 2001 Camry for towing and has to flush the transmission fluid through the cooler line (using the above method).
Just not sure if Ford transmission work the way.

Without offense simply follow the recommendations Mark and I describe---it works well. Doing this 1/2 gallon at a time would take too long---get buckets or containers that allow at least 2-3 gallons at a time between draining and re-filling.
