Perhaps the only thing worse than some bonehead rolling smoke is a progressive tyrant wannabe making a new law....
The response to "There ought be a law..." is "No." As pointed out above, the 'law' was intended to punish dorks, but everyone realizes that the law could be used against anyone.

People like diesel Dave made it infamous and it is mostly dumb rednecks with out two brain cells they can rub together, i like a bad *** diesel and i don't mind when they blow smoke if it's not excessive but you can tell when it's tuned so rich that it's smokes like a train, it's the rare few that have to be jerks and make it a point to roll coal, they ruin it for everybody else..
you can to a tractor pull and see those monsters create their own weather and that's bad ***, i don't want to see the actions of a few ruin it for the majority and sadly it takes legislation and new laws because common sense ain't so common anymore.. There's not a lot of enough people left that truly care about the Earth, we're a dying breed and the coal rollers are probably saying OH THANK GOD, get rid of those tree hugging sons of bitches

I'm in the it's mostly spoiled brats with daddy's money, you guys know that lumbersexual is a thing now right? These brats are paying $150 for pre-stressed flannel shirts, $300 for "worn look" boots, etc. Then getting in there $80,000 trucks and playing a-hole redneck for fun.
