Could somebody here send me instructions on how to splice into the wiring to make LED strips work when opening the doors and turning on interior lighting.
I watched one of the youtube videos on this. I need to know what color wires to splice into for the left and right side. The video said that they could change from one model year to the next. I posted a reply on one of the threads dealing with this already and no one has replied back so I decided do a new post to bump up to get some 411 on this,
He discusses the wire colors and which ones worked
Yes he does, but his F-150 is a 2013, mine is a 2014. As the video I watched stated, the color combinations can change from one model year to another. That is why I am seeking the information for my 2014 XLT Crew Cab.
FYI...
Don't use an old style 12V test light with a standard bulb. Modern vehicles have many circuits that come straight off of a circuit board that can be damaged by the amount of current drawn by a test light with an incandescent bulb. Use a digital multimeter or a modern style test light that has LED's instead of an incandescent bulb.
