07 Outlaw Cab Light Install

Been waiting for the right time (ie when i knew i wouldnt bust a tear for drilling the cab of my truck!!) to install my VMS Racing Smoked cab lights....

Finally broke down...

Here is the template I used from https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/a...1&d=1296449960 Shake-n-Bake

Tearing the inside off wasnt bad.... followed his instructions and went fairly fast... I used painters tape and masked off the whole top and measured using his diagram and they looked awesome... I keep forgetting to take a night picture tho...

didnt use any silicone or rather I did but took them back off several times and got silicone everywhere lol... the lights I have you install the back of the wire harness in your hole and then push the plug into it.... I did not know that the wires went in both ways.... you would think out of 5 lights I would have had at least one wired right..... Maybe next time I should have a adult beverage first!!... so long story short after screwing them down 3 or 4 times to take them back off again I smartened up and run a temp wire to the battery and made sure they all worked before rescrewing them for the umptenth time.... SUCCESS...

special thanks to Shake-N-Bake for his through informative thread on his install.... instead of reposting step by step check out his and ill close with a few pictures. One thing I did differently was I used the rubber gaskets from the lights as my template

Thank God for Sunroof!!!

also I just wired them into the back of the headlight switch into the wire that is hot for the marker lights...

I had the fiance put some black finger nail polish on the dash sensor that turns the headlights on so that my lights stay on all the time (in auto mode on the switch) so that I always have running lights on the hiway and dont have to forget to turn em off...

Very nice. These trucks look a lot better with cab lights.

I need to get on this soon.
