They had a bunch of the camp spots closed because of high water, mud and possible damage to the fragile Sphagnum moss bog / swamp. They should have had the spot we were in closed as well.
We noticed several "dry" and nice camp spots that were open, but had shown closed and not available on the State Parks System. We also noticed that the day after we got there they started letting those spots be used on a first come basis. I think that the millionaire's in the fancy coach that showed up probably got his nose out of joint and raised some heck. He got one of those spots.
We were camping for free on my disabled Vet access pass. Don't know if that had anything to do with it. Had we been paying $32 a night for the spot, I would have raised more hate and discontent and we would have come home before camping in the spot they assigned us.
One of the first things we did after we got there, was to go to the local Bi-Mart store and buy muck boots so we could move around camp and keep our feet out of the mud.
It was an "ADVENTURE"!
Was going to post a couple of pictures, but apparently something is messed up. Can't post pictures and can't put any of the little faces in the post. Interesting.

Good afternoon all. Do any of you guys that live in the Portland metro area know of any car clubs or a member of a clubs that is geared towards dentside pickups? Kind of want to meet some guys that share my interest of these trucks and see there trucks and ideas in person.

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Survived the day and got the camper cleaned up. Didn't get it off the pickup but it is now cleaned up and ready to be taken off.
Cookies and Temp pages get cleared out every time the browser is closed and quite often while I'm on the web.
You might have them take a look and see if something is messed up someplace in the profile or elsewhere.
Just tried putting a smiley face in and can't do it without copy and pasting.

Have you checked with any of the ford dealers like Landmark Ford?

You might try posting on the dentside forum, I know that there are a couple of guys that post occasionally on there that are from Portland.
Of course guys on that forum will tell you to check your state chapter, and you see what help we were....

so I braved the snowstorm (didn't last long) and checked out the auction.....lots and lots of stuff......some pretty cool things actually...So I'll go tomorrow and see what things bring.....and visit with those that I haven't seen since last auction...
