On my 86 ford with a 300 inline 6, will start and run, but if I let off gas it dies won't idle, does it everytime, start then dies unless I keep it Rev up. Any ideas were to start thanks

pcv valve, fuel filter or fuel pump could be culprits as well, cheap and easy parts to replace..although I would suggest adjusting the idle on the carb straight away..that's free!
I have the 300 i6 with the same carb and it took me lots of time to get the idle right.. I also had to replace my fuel pump and filter recently..the difference in acceleration and idle was very noticeable
I'll check those things in morning maybe a easy fix, I thought maybe throttle position sensor but haven't got one yet so I'll try the ideas first thanks gentlemen
