Radiator bolts to the core support from engine side. The other flange, closest to the engine is for bolting up the fan shroud. The four tabs on the support should match up to the radiator. They have those U Nuts in them.
The last pic in this thread has the radiator on the wrong side of the flange technically. Sure it works, but you would play hell with the ol stocker doing that. The picture of the old radiator, next up, is correct.

It is a bugger. I caved and cut the rear tabs off. Goes in much easier now.

Never understood why people wanted to butcher a radiator install. Champion has made both core support mount and engine side mount versions for 8+ years. This is just a case of ordering the wrong part.

champion offers 2 different radiators. They look the same but mount differently.
one for grill mount and one for engine side mount.
be sure to get the proper one and it should mount with no issues.

Guys correct me if I am wrong but Champion 433 is for the core support for extra cooling is it not? Not sure if it is specific to Highboys but they have the extended core support radiator mounts and , at least mine, has the big old radiator. So it would take a 433. The others, would take the other style offered no? What is pictured two pics up is what I mean by the extra cooling type radiator mount. I think the OP had the correct stuff just put it in sort of wrong. If you try to go to the back side of the mounts like pictured I could see that being a pia.....they mount to the outside just like the old radiator shown.

That would be CC444B for the part number. That uses engine side mounts. The CC545 is for core support mounting.
