anyone tried installing the rainguard ventvisor in-channel on their rig with the "auto" windows? Mine make contact with the visor and roll back down. I had to push the visor out to make it go up. FInally got it to go, hoping they will set better over the next 24 hours. anyone else run into this? what was your fix or will i have to order the stick on version for the front windows? The rear in-channel works fine. Thanks
I tried everything the directions suggested. More than once. No luck. Then I let them sit with windows up for over 24 hours. Still no luck.
Contacted realtruck.com to exchange for the adhesive mount style. They did a one time deal and sent me the equal value set I wanted. Told me to keep the channel mount visors and do what I liked with them. I gave them away.
Maybe it was the particular brand. Somebody must have luck with that style because a lot of people buy & install them.
I guess I will have to return the fronts and get the outside version. The rear is fine because their not smart Windows. This sucks cause they looks so much better. Hoping someone chimes in before I tear them off
I put them on my 2016 Fursion about 2 weeks ago. The initial roll up had to be assisted but no problem since. I like them better than the outside version I have on my 2015 F350 CCLB
Never have any rust issues on a 1996 F350 CCLB with the stick on visors. The truck had them installed for 15 years when I sold it 5 years ago. The tape they use is the same tape the car makers (Ford, Chrysler, GM) use to attach body molding.
I have had the issue on a couple of trucks with the glue from the door edge trim, it caused rust to bubble under the paint after a few years, and with some stick -on body moldings on another truck.
AVS In-Channel Vent visor
These are the ones I put on my truck had the problem on one window I think it was driver window. I used my hand to help get window to close and left closed for three days. No more issues after letting sit for days. Good luck
