Wife and I have started the process to move my Mom in with us from the home she's lived in for 62 years.
My Dad died in '90. A '40s Los Angeles Hot-Rodder, Architect, Musician and Artist. After his death, his work-shop was locked up like a time-capsule.
I wasn't prepared for the flood of memories as I began sorting through his stuff. A lot of it outdated and corroded now but that's where I learned to bust my knuckles.
He was an amazing Artist. He painted the inside walls of his Shop with a life-size 32 3 Window, an Edelbrock / 97s equipped Flathead, and this Small Block Ford Cut-away painted on Cabinet Doors. I removed them and although weathered, they are proudly part of my Shop now
Wow, that detail is very impressive, looks comparable to something that would be done with the aid of a computer these days. I know it wasn't, but it just shows just how talented you father was. I think it's great that you were able to save it and enjoy it on a regular basis, it like He is always there with you. Thank you for sharing such a heart warming part of your life.
Bumped from December - Final moving day bringing Mom into our home for her final years.(Father's Day) Some folks wanted to see a few more paintings after the Garage was cleared out where pics could be taken. I selected two. Sad to say goodbye. New Buyer is an artist and is leaving everything as-is.

Thanks for keeping us in mind and posting those pics, it's a real shame there was no way of taking them with you. I hope the new owner never gets tired of them and covers them up. Great history for that house , too bad he never signed the paintings..
