I'm working with another guy installing a Holley Avenger TBI system on a fire truck with a 427 GM engine, and long story short he snapped an ear off the throttle body. It looks like there was a big porosity in the casting there, and Holley's tech line is closed today. Just a message saying their normal business hours are 8-5 (I called at 9).
Their online tech support is non-existent, and the only online documentation they have is the install manual. I have to say I am very disappointed with Holley's after sale service on this.
Well, that wasn't the only problem. It also won't read RPM from the coil. I called on Monday, waited for a callback for about two hours, then called again and left my phone on speaker for half an hour until someone picked up. Got a return authorization for the ECU, and am waiting to hear back that it was fried. I did finally get a call back from my initial attempt too- The next day.
I am installing a FiTech system, working through some issues, but the tech support has been outstanding. Pretty slow on email responses, but heck I was even talking to a tech on the phone last Saturday morning before I left town for work.
It turned out to be a bad calibration file in the programmer. But there are other issues, like bad injectors from sitting on a shelf for years, and Holley has zero support parts for this system.
