Question Tire Size

I just bought a 2004 FX4, and the dealer had already replaced the stock tires with some 265/60/18's on. Besides the ugly, undersized look and my speedo reading about 5 mph faster than actual speed, are these tires causing any harm to the power train?

Thanks for the help fellas....I am brand new to this site but so far I am very impressed with the amount of information I have been able to find. I'm sure the answer to my question is in here somewhere already, but I've been unable to find so far....

No it's not hurting anything.

Congrats on the new truck, and welcome to the site!

Welcome to the site. Hope you stick around, the 04-08 group is getting pretty thin these days! As previously stated the tire size should not be an issue.
