BFG A/T TKO - 2008 F-150 FX2
Hey guys,
My truck in my sig has the 18" FX2 wheels and NO suspension modifications. I went to price the BF Goodrich AT TKO's to replace my factory tires which are starting to near the end of their life...but they don't have a direct replacement size.
I need a LT size and the guy at CT wasn't able to tell me what that is.
Could you tell me what the exact stock replacement size is? And any sizes that would be close (and whether I'd need to get speedo changed). I am going with this tire as I don't want to change for the winter and back again; always had them on my old truck and loved them....so I really don't want to look at other brands that do have a matching P rated stock size.
Thanks in advance for the help!

you should have 275/65/18 on the truck currently...which is a 32" tire
I think your Tire Guy is an idiot. The 275/65/18 is the most common truck tire since 2004. Every single brand of truck runs that size.
here they are on Tirerack.com pretty clearly BFG does make them. about $225 a pop
BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO

Tylus,
While I agree that the guy is an idiot (he was going only off of the computer - didn't know anything about anything himself...that's why I mentioned I was at CT...everyone up here knows they just push buttons).
I have P265/60/18 though...I think maybe it's because it's an FX2 I got a 'sportier' lower profile tire? Not really sure; but I want to make sure I don't throw off the speedo when I change them. Is the size you linked still good or is that going to change my speedo?
Thanks in advance,
Chad

I use this site all the time.
It lets you compare different tire sizes and see what does & doesn't work.
Tire Size Calculator - tire & wheel plus sizing
according to that site, the 275/65/18 is only 0.5" taller than your current tires. I personally don't think you'll see very much speedo difference...if at all. Most of the tire calculators say it will be off by 1 MPH @ 60 MPH.
and 1 MPH with these speedo's isn't exactly noticeable.
edit: yes, to me, that size would be perfect for you. especially as the 275/65/18 is the factory tire size for most 4x2 and 4x4 trucks straight off the dealership lot

all 3 vehicles
I have them on all 3 of my vehicles, F150. F100, Grand Cherokee. They are wearing well, and do very well in the slippery stuff. Last yr I drove up the mountain in the 05, and passed everything in my way in a hard snowstorm. Never spun a tire. They recommend rotation every 5k, but I usually go 7-8 before I do it. The tire shop does it for free, and I have them rebalance also. I always give them a good tip.
