Sometimes I remember ,sometimes I jump to conclusions .I had an old f150 with a straight six that started ticking real bad so i figured rockers might need adjusted tore everything down just to find out I was about 4 quarts low on oil
My old 300 is pushing 400k and every 5-10k miles I'd be 3-4 quarts low, never smoked, just liked it's oil
Your 300 is short on oil at 10,000 miles?
How far do you go between changes???
Thank you, I didn't think so but wasn't 100%.
And my 300, the truck was beat the body shot, frame rotted out and patched. So I didn't too much care about oil changes, I'd add oil ever now and then but other than that, I drove and beat the heck out of it, and it wouldn't quit, can still go turn the key and fire it up
Buddy with an early mustang that had the I6, he was always letting it run low on oil it seemed, but it would just start ticking. He would just add oil when it started ticking and all was well...
