09 FX4 oil filter relocation

I am trying to find an inexpensive oil filter relocation kit but very few that I find say they will work for my truck.

Has anyone gotten one for there 09 5.4?

I have been looking as well.
On my HotRod, I have relocated the filter to the passenger fender well.
Makes changes a breeze. Wish I had the same for the Ford.

Well, I am a disabled vet and getting to the filter is difficult for me. I have a friend that put the Amsoil kit in and it is really nice just pricey. I'm just looking around to see what others have done.

Ok. I know the 1997-98 4x4 trucks had a remote oil filter.....the filter was right behind the bumper. really easy to get to. I would consider this, but I don't know if Ford even has this anymore.

You need to do a little research and educate yourself about this. I did this same modification but did my research first. As far as product(s) go... does the old adage of " you get what you pay for" ring any bells ? If you buy a cheap product, sometimes the end result is still OK. but when your relying on this product to handle your vehicles oil system... you'd better think about spending a little more and getting a better product and peace of mind knowing you made a good choice.
As I said I did this modification and went the extra distance on cost gaining a better product, but I ran into a problem that nobody, including the people on here lent any info about and no help with solving it. But I did solve it myself (pat myself on the back), seems these engines put out almost 100lbs of oil pressure and I mounted my relocating filter adapter on the core support. Over a short period of time I started to get a noise that sounded like an old school vacuum leak in a rubber hose. Tried changing filters and heard a slight variance in this noise and time it took place. Afetr removing the assembly the noise went away. Hmmmm I found it. The oil flow through my teflon lined, stainless steel braided lines carried harmonic noise to the core support and the support magnified it as it's made of fiberglass reinforced plastic thats Swiss Cheesed for weight from the factory that amplifies the sound like an acoustic guitar. I tried isolating it by adding a 1/2" piece of semi-soft rubber behind the adapter and this muffled it but did not eliminate it. I then unattached it and hung it by cable ties or as some call them zip-ties and noise gone.
The one other thing i did find through this process was that I didn't have the dreaded Phazer noise before the relocation kit, however it slightly showed up when installed. During the process when I un-installed it, I did notice the Phazer noise went away. Seems that the extra distance of the oil travel and/or the possible size of the oil lines may have contributed to this issue. I plan on relocating the filter to the frame somewhere behind the bumper and possibly the core support and this will isolate the filter mount and I'll then use a little larger size line and the run will be shorter.
Sorry for the length of this but it helps explain the issue I had.
I also did find out through online video's and my own investigation that I'm done using MOTORCRAFT filters for my oil. I've always used them without issues on my FORDS but the difference I've seen and heard on the truck I own right now convinced my otherwise. From now on I buy NAPA GOLD or the WIX (same Company).

Also... the brand product I bought was from CANTON RACING. Little pricey but extremely good product(s).
