WTB - 3rd Generation Explorer (2002-2005)
Don't know if I'll get any hits from this, but gonna throw it out there. Due to a recent deer incident, I'm looking to replace my previous Explorer with another 3rd generation Explorer.
Must haves:
4x4 or AWD (deal-breaker)
XLT or above (no XLS)
Running boards
Prefer:
V8 but will take the V6 if it's in good running order...no "death rattle"
Cloth interior but will take leather if it's in decent shape, and especially if it has heated seats
Hoping to find something for $2500 or less in decent mechanical shape. If it needs a little cleanup TLC and maybe some minor, more maintenance-related fixes, I'd entertain that as well. Higher mileage doesn't bother me as long as it's been maintained. If you have service records, even better.
I'm in the Annapolis, MD area...will check anything in the mid-Atlantic region. Don't want to travel too far to pick up.
Let me know if anyone has anything or know of anything available. I'm combing local Craigslist ads daily too. Thanks!
