While I don't relish the prospect, I think it's time for me to sell the 150. It's just a little too big for what I want. I'm considering a pre-owned Explorer, if it could meet my modest needs:
- seats relatively tall people in front OK
- seats at least 5
- has at least some pretense of acceleration
- isn't totally inept in mild off-road applications
Does it sound like there might be an Explorer out there for me? If so, please pass along any suggestions on models/years/options. Thanks...
Well you could get a 2000 or 2001 Explorer V8 ( Quite pleasing acceleration and great sound) it would seat 5, for more than 6' 3" I would not get a sunroof but less than that you should be fine. If you get V8 you could get AWD perfect for Mild off road and great bad weather traction. And with the V8 you can tow around 7000 Lbs. Not bad. I would get an Eddie Bauer or Limited They hold there value better and have more quality materials. You might also look into the air-suspension a get option in my opinion.
Hope this helps !!
Cold most like likely get one for around 11K - 20K depending on model >
