Been awhile guys, but I need some input..I got an oil consumption problem. I get a fairly obvious blue smoke out the tail pipe most of the time.. I replaced my injector o rings not too long ago, maybe 7-10k ago.. I did that because I believed it to be the problem initially, and the first 1k it seemed to keep the oil level just perfect after that I've been using about a gallon every 1500-2k probably more miles then that but too much usage if you ask me... Could I have possibly nicked an o-ring on install and it didn't manifest till a later time.? Last I checked my dowmpipe didn't have any signs of oil and I know it's a dumby test but my oil cap doesn't move off the valve cover when upside down.. Need some ideas its driving me nuts.. Truck has about 200k on it..
Thanks guys!
There might be that possibility, but also the turbo oil seal can also let go from the compressor side. The cheap option is to do a compression test to see if its the engine itself, but check that turbo really good.

Will do! So pulling the intake boot inspecting for oil there is where I should look?
Thanks!
Only a few places it can go.
In the fuel (via injector orings)
In the cylinders (via internal injector orings )
On the ground
Through the turbo
In the coolant (oil cooler)
Burning it (bad rings)
Do you notice any oil in the fuel filter housing? Is it black in there?
Well sadly no black on the fuel filter or in the housing... I really don't wanna have a bad engine..but its not looking good... I guess at this point I'm hoping turbo...?

I'd pull the dp off then and have a look. I highly doubt you have a bad motor.
