Hinge Pin Bushings

So I am in the middle of replacing the hinge pins on my drivers door. The new pins fit snug in the door side of the hinge, but are pretty loose on the cab side of the hinge. Is this normal, or should it be tighter? It is much better that the originals, but seems a little looser then it should be. My dad suggested getting some bushings made to go on the cab side of the hinge, but if it's not needed i will just continue as is.

They can't be tight in both pieces of the hinge, or you couldn't open the door. Depends how sloppy the fit in the stationary part is. It is nice to be able to get oil in there (would be even nicer to have a grease fitting). It would be tough to put in a bushing that exactly aligned with the door pin holes.

Somewhere in my mind I remember something about there being two different diameter hinge pins.

If the bushings were worn excessively and the holes are now oversized, the holes can be welded and re drilled to the correct size for the bushing OD. Without good tight hinges, aligning the door is pretty much impossible.
