Maybe..... The trucks with push button start have a little key inside in case the battery fails. I'm not 100% sure, but I would guess you could buy one of these blanks and have it cut to your tumbler, assuming they are the same length.
If you want you should also be able to get a key that doesn't have the buttons that will both start and run the truck. A key blank for an XL 100a would be the ticket there.
I haven't verified either of these for the F150, but I have made "cheap" buttonless working keys for other models of Fords.
You can often find key blanks on eBay for fairly cheap - even the ones with electronics. I bought keys for my wife's Mariner a while back, and paid $30 for brand-new keys with the keyfob built in. Had a local locksmith cut them, then used the instructions in the manual to program them. No problem.
I'm thinking you should be able to find a key blank with a transponder but no remote keyless entry transmitter that should work.
I keep my spare key in the glove box. With the door keypad I should always able to get into the truck and drive home if I lose my key. Assuming there is battery power of course. That won't work on a push-button start truck though.

I have done this as well. Got additional key for my 2012 F150. You do need one with the PATS transponder for it to work with the ignition, so make sure you buy one that's compatible with your specific truck.
I did this the first day I got it. Key with no electronics for outside. Hide-a-key can be make watertight with a little dielectric grease, but not necessary. Spare electronic key hidden in cab.
I also made it a hard fast rule to lock doors ONLY with remote and have never locked myself out.

I used to carry a slim jim in the bed of my old truck, and the old truck was NON remote keyed. So, I got in habit of locking the door from the inside.
I still have this habit which I am slowly breaking myself out of. I try to use the remote to lock the door now, but we will have to see how this goes.
I HAVE looked into blank keys and they are VERY affordable. I just have to order them off of Ebay.
My key at home is no longer locked in the safe, so anyone can bring it to me if I lock myself out of the truck again.
