How do you guys (& gals) rate the noise level in the cab, more specifically when running higher rpm's. My 2000 F250 V10 is fairly quiet under normal driving. But when towing and running over about 2500 rpm's I feel the noise is somewhat loud, ie need to talk louder & turn the radio up a notch. I have never measured the sound levels, but your opinions would be interesting to hear. More interested in the newer trucks as I am looking at getting a 2016 or17 next year and am hoping Ford has made the cabs more quiet.

2016 KR F350 DRW, 6.7 PSD......QUIET, even when towing my 41 foot Raptor, or mt 38 foot goose, even when compared to the new at the time 2005 Lincoln Towncar Signature Limited that I had!
A friends 2015 Dodge Cummins is louder when towing.
The Super Duty is probably the quietest vehicle I have ever driven!
I used to have a '01 F350 XLT V10 4x4 with AT tires. My 2015 F250 XLT 6.2L 4x4 (also with AT tires) is noticeably quieter. (Both were bought new.)
Granted I was comparing a brand new vehicle against a 14 year old one with ~80K miles, but I was quite impressed at how much more refined the new truck was.

Reason: sp
my 2k isnt that bad, its noticeably quieter than my wife's Rav 4......
I have BFG at's on it and the only thing i get is some slight whine, but as said above, its pretty quiet.
I have a buddy who put the sound deadening material in the floor/sides of his crew F350 and you could just about hear a pin drop in there. That may be the path for you if this is what you desire.
i have a 7.3 turbo and 6 sp man. i have a rubber floor mat and put extra padding on the floor and there is 2 shifter boots. i put padding between both boots. it's alot quieter.
When we had the 2005, the 6.0l was pretty noisy in the cab. When we got the 2012 I wasn't sure if I was going to like this 'quiet' truck! It was noticeably quieter than the '05. I think quieter going down the road than my wife's Bmw.....mind you I have a little bit of tire hum now....
