cabin road noise
Hi 
How can i reduce the cabin road noise on a 2000 limited v10 EX , because it is too loud and give me and my kids a headache after a short trip , they want me to git a newer small SUV but i don't i love my EX .
i used to have a 99 GMC Suburban with 454ci and it was very quiet comparing to to the excursion , any i idea's to how to have a quieter EX , the truck has very soft michelin tyres .

While I don't think my Excursion is the quietest thing on the road it by no means is loud enough to give any of us a headache.

change your muffler to a quieter one?
If you don't mind pulling the seats out and lifting the carpet, you can seal the interior with sound reducing material in an afternoon. also do the doors and firewall. You'd be amazed at how much the sound will quieten down.
here is a good cheap material you can get at most home repair stores.

what muffler do you recommend to use , and i was reading about this Peel & Seal material it looks have some benefits .

If i was the only one using the truck it is OK with me . but my 2 yrs old daughter have a Problem in the ear nerve so evenin the house we whispering around her .

Even brand new tires can be very loud. It depends on the make/model. However if your child has ear problem then I would probably not drive her around in the excursion. It will never be as quiet as a whisper.
