Has anyone else noticed that the composition of the rubber "carpet" found mostly in the base-level trucks changed 3 times? 8th gen trucks all got a thick rubber-like material that doesn't seem very durable (especially when aged ~25 years)). Early 9th gen used a thinner material that's somewhat more durable. Late 9th gen got an even thinner, but seemingly much more durable material - seems similar to a high-quality bed-liner.
I only noticed this for the first time the other day, so I'm not sure when the change-over happened in the 9th gen cycle - might just be a '95/6 thing. Anyone else take closer note of this to know when the change happened?
