D K Advisory

Just left Wal-Mart. The Diesel Klean (gray) is now in an 80 ounce jug instead of 96. The white was still 96. We don't need the white here......

The sticker on the shelf still had the 96 listed. I haven't checked the reciept. Got that danged ole IKE on my mind...I'll report back....

I've gotta say that when diesel went to ultra low I started to use DK. I then stopped using it and haven't in about a year. No noticeable difference in performance since stopping the additive. I don't think I've lost any mileage either. What I first thought was necessary with the introduction of ultra low sulfur fuel, I now think it is unneccesary. It is certainly not going to hurt anything but I have come to the conclusion that it is a waste of money.

Does anyone think the ULSD will affect our models, if so in what way?
I have never run any additives, and probably never will!
I know over here anything pre 1996 (deisels) are having problems with injector pump seals, and they need to be replaced with special viton gaskets, but I was under the impression anything over 2000 models should be OK.

You guys are rolling the dice with lubricity. I have too much money in my injectors. I am now running Schaeffer additive but used to run DK exclusively. Do as you please. The new ULSD did not get any better where lubrication of the injectors was concerned.

BTW, Blue Bell ice cream has not downsized. Probably a local market though.

You guys are still usinging DK after all the posts on it's ineffectiveness on lubricity as per the test by Southwest Research Laboratories? Now you are paying even more for it and have to double dose to get the same cetane boost as other additives.

Call Schaeffer Oil Toll Free: (800) 325-9962 and ask them for a sales rep in your area. Then call the rep and have it delivered to your door.
