Rotate it, twist it, turn it. I mean like in a flat spin going out to sea, not roll it itself.
X2 have you double checked that all the bolts are out? It should slide forward between the frame rails, then twist a bit and come out.
I take it the motor, trans and xfer case are out?

If I remember correctly it bolts up and through the top of frame too. But its been like 30 years since I worked on a 250 4x4. So I could be wrong. Be the first time in like 55 years. So I probably am not wrong. Usually I aint. Thought I was wrong once about 40 years ago but I was mistaken about it.
