Need to re install the trim on my 79 bronco tailgate. what is the correct way to position the plastic clips? Thanks!

 

If I remember correctly the plastic clip should sit so one edge of it is just over the ridge on the tailgate. You can line up the trim with the tail light bezels.
Wish I would have taken more pictures when I did mine. You can see that the trim naturally sits better one way than the other. The clips kind of do the same
