Problem finding Clutch and/or Flywheel

Earlier this year I bought this engine from Summit Racing:

Ford Racing 5.0L 420 HP 32-Valve DOHC Crate Engines M-6007-M50 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

That's the link taken directly from my order history and while it says it doesn't come with a flywheel, it did. I've purchased 2 clutches and 2 flywheels, all recommended by summit or others and none have fit. The 2 flywheels didn't fit the coyote and none of the clutches fit on the flywheel that came on the coyote.

This is the latest flywheel / clutch combo that was recommended by the live chat sales people that didn't fit:

Centerforce Steel Flywheels 700215 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing
Centerforce DF148500 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

As this is about to go in a 1954 F100, I don't need ultra-performance parts, just something that works! And, the only thing now stopping me from getting my truck fully assembled in the next month or so this this (I'd like to assemble the powertrain while the body is off the chassis).

For an engine as new as the coyote, you probably need to head to a dealer for factory parts. Doubt the aftermarket has caught up yet, as you have found out.

I talked with Summit Racing Tech support and I think the problem is mine actually. The holes on the flywheel looked like they were evenly spaced, but according to the tech, the flywheel only goes on one way. so I measured and the holes are not evenly spaced. I think I tried to rotate it a little bit and noticed the holes didn't align and ASSuMEd I had the wrong part.

Gotcha, it's the same on the 5.8. It looks crazy when you are bolting up the flywheel and its not synced with the crank, the bolt holes are all over the place until it magically lines up as you rotate the flywheel.

I look at it more as a feature, since you CAN'T mis-align it.

The holes are not even because I assume the 5.0 is externally balanced.

I thought I had posted that in my previous post, but I hadn't. That is correct - being externally balanced is only possible if the flywheel only goes on one way! I just wish they would have made it more obvious that that was the case, or a simple paper in the box. They had something stating I should wash it down with brake cleaner or some form of degreaser but nothing about rotating it until the holes line up
