Flywheel cracked

Hi,
I think I know the answer to this before I ask but "what the heck". I am in the process of changing my clutch on my 1970 F-250 4x4 when I noticed the flywheel. There must be over a hundred little cracks radiating out from the center. Never seen anything like it before. Interesting enough there does not appear to be any over heating signs as far as blue streaks or anything. OK here it comes ,..... reckon this flywheel can be turned to remove the cracks?
Thanks,
Lee

Nothing could be worse than passing someone and having your flywheel come unglued. I'm sorry to say but that wouldn't be smart at all. A new flywheel should run you about 70 bucks.

Lee..
More than likely these are just heat cracks and are only on the surface. I've seen thi smany many times in my 24 plus years turning wrenches. Have it turned and do yur clutch replacement. its all good
