Tuner/Battery question

I got a SCT x4 tuner and plan I buying two new batteries this weekend. I going to pull them both, bring them in for exchange, and throw the new ones in. Ill having the batteries disconnected like that clear my tune? Just wanted to check before I do.

Its stored in the PCM memory, no.

No it won't change the tune but it will clear any codes that may be stored or pending. You can scan it for codes before replacing the batteries.
