Question about chips/tuners

I am thinking about getting a Predator tuner but have a question about something. With all the different calibrations that Ford has in the ECU's does any one calibration respond best to a tuner? Lets say you have two identical trucks, both calibrated differently, is the end result the same as far as how well it performs with a tuner program? Thanks in advance

No, the results are not all the same because the baseline they change is different. Some codes produce slightly better results because they were worse in stock form.

Is there anyway to get a list of good calibration codes? If so I may just get a good calibration flashed into the ECU before installing the tuner.

No, there's no way to get a list other than compiling it yourself. I doubt many dealers will flash to a calibration just because you want a certain code. They have to have a TSB issue for it.

Thanks for the reply. I know a tech in the dealer that could do it for me. Time to start searching the web for code lists.
