tailgate camera questions
Does anyone know if I can retrofit the locking tailgate handle with the built in camera into my 2003 tailgate?
If not, would the whole tailgate from a later model truck fit without looking like it didn't belong?
What about re-keying the tailgate lock to me existing truck key?
I'm assuming that wiring this camera to an aftermarket head unit that is designed for a back up camera wouldn't be a problem?

don't think newer style handle will fit older style t gate as different shape but an 08 up tail gate with camera either in handle or on emblem will fit and look great
its don't often and a nice upgrade
easy to rekey also at lock smith or possibly change tumblers around

I did this to my 04, it was a long time ago but to the best of my memory I changed the tail gate to an 08, I bought the handle with camera built in and it came with a wire harness to fit an aftermarket head unit. I believe I just popped my lock cylinder out and installed it into the new handle. You will also need a new left side tailgate hinge
