If the WTS light doesn't come on when the GPR is disconnected, you've got some issue with main power to the PCM. If you're certain about fuses 9 and 22, check for voltage at both as well. IIRC, fuse 9 should have voltage on the supply side of the fuse socket at all times, and fuse 22 should have voltage on the supply side of the socket when the key is in RUN.

It would still be a good idea to load test the batteries. You may have one good one, one bad one, which might provide enough voltage/current to crank the starter, but not enough voltage to run the PCM.

Just for S&G, with the GPR still disconnected, try turning the key to run with just one battery connected. Try each battery one at a time. All you're checking for is the WTS light, which at least give you a hint that the PCM is powering up. If you do get a WTS with one battery, but not with the other, then you have one good / one bad battery.

This link works. I have heard the GPR clicking like that before on my truck. The clicking stopped when I replaced the GPR. Not sure what advice to give you at this point.

The GPR is brand new out of the box,I think it's kind of strange that all the terminals on the GPR are hot when the key is on except the terminal going to the glow plugs.maybe a bad GPR even if it is new?dosen't explain the light staying on though.also I have not seen any smoke while cranking?

Until you get your primary power issue resolved, leave the GPR disconnected and don't try to start the truck. The GPR is just pulling down voltage somehow and confounding the situation. Are you still getting no WTS light with the GPR disconnected? Did you try the tests in post #32? Have you load tested the batteries yet?

I have done the tests in post #32.the load test for each battery was okay.with the small wires on the GPR disconnected the WSL will not light . I am taking another look at the computer.my original computer had a burnt diode so I Replaced it with a computer from a friends junked truck.same ford part #.My friend told me the truck was running when he parked it,I've opened the computer and everything looks clean and in order. I've taken my original computer and soldered in a new diode and tested the new connection for continuity, planning to drop it in this evening . Also wondering why I've not seen any smoke from the truck while cranking.I know I have to get the WTS fixed first.

Figured out the WTS. It turned out to be a broken wire that went directly to the pcm. I am assuming it was the wire that grounds the GPR system. Thanks to everyone for the help
