Does anyone know if the upfitter switches from a 2012 f250 would be compatible with my 2006 f350?. My father has them in his truck stock with no intentions of using them.. They look identical to the ones they sell for my year, so if they're compatible I want to convince him to let me swap them out to my truck
They are different by design - 05-07 switches are on the left with the TBC/cubby on the right, and the. 08+ switches are on the right with the TBC/cubby on the left. The bezels are also different sizes. I went through this with my own truck, adding a second set (brand new out of a 2012) to my 2006. The process for fitting the bezel is outlined in the thread I made, linked in my signature. As far as wiring harness goes, unsure if the plugs for the newer units works with the 06 gen, I wouldn't be surprised if it did. However, also in my thread is how to wire them yourself to function as stock switches do.
In short, no they will not work without modification.
Great job on the installation and reps sent.
I would really like to know how you used each up fitter switch? I'm using one of mine for add on fog lights but can't imagine the need for 8?
Love to hear about those other uses.
Thx.

Thanks! I'm big into modifications with OEM looks, so this idea was the only plausible option for me. Believe it or not, I'm currently using all 8 switches, but only 7 of them are commonly used. From left to right, the switches are as follows:
1- Four LED flood/spot lights, rear facing. Two 6000 lumen flood/spots on the rack, two 2500 lumen floods on the bumper.
2- OEM fog lights
3- CB radio and charger for Uniden HP Scanner
4- Front facing LED warning lights (Amber)
5- Rear facing LED warning lights and arrow bar (Amber)
6- Front takedowns - white LED override for extra front facing light
7- Rearview camera
8- This is the silly fun one, never really use it but it's this little box that makes animal noises through my PA speaker, from back in high school.
It's a great supplement for my electric air horn and boat horns!
Thanks for sharing. How do you keep them all straight, not confusing the fronts with the backs, etc?
Also, why OEM fog lights if already wired...to use with high beams?
And for #8, there's a bit of a kid in all of us. Would love to hear it.
Bob - no problem, always happy to share. In terms of keeping them straight, to be honest at this point I just have them memorized! Problems come when I ask someone to turn on a switch for me since the switches actually are marked 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4..."hey can you hit #1 please?" "....which #1?".
I installed my OEM fogs myself, truck did not come with them, so I decided instead of replacing the headlight switch, I would wire them direct to an upfitter so I could have them on whenever I please.
As for the noise maker, it's not my video but this best displays the sounds it makes...the Rooster and Ice-Cream truck noises are my favorite...as you said there's a kid in all of us!
