I can't find a wiring diagram for the UVCH pigtail anywhere. The one that came with the harness assumes the old one was still connected. My wires were burned through and I need to know what colors to wire in from the truck to the new harness so everything matches up.
PS Tried guessing already. Apparently I suck at guessing.
On the pigtail there's two larger-gauge wires on the outside and 5 smaller-gauge wires in the middle. Larger gauge wires are yellow with red, dark green, light green and white stripes. I'm guessing the larger wires are GP and the smaller wires in the middle are the injectors and they go front to back (working the driver's side so 2, 4, 6, 8...). It's the 9th wire that's throwing me off.
I would imagine. I don't have a lot of wire left to work with, so I'm a little nervous about soldering these up without a diagram so I can match up the wires. The replacement connector only has grey and red wires, so I'm trying to figure it out from the tiny bit of insulation left on the old connector but two of the wires have no discernable color. Ugh.
Pink/yellow - left bank common
White - cylinder 2 injector
Brown/light blue - cylinder 4 injector
Light green/orange - cylinder 6 injector
Light blue - cylinder 8 injector
Orange - right bank common
Tan- cylinder 1 injector
Brown/yellow - cylinder 3 injector
Tan/black - cylinder 5 injector
Tan/red - cylinder 7 injector
The front-most two and rear-most two pins on each connector are glow plugs (they'll be larger pins). The center pin is injector common, and the rest are injectors, in order from front to back
I'm late to the party here, but I just went through this on the passenger side: [LINK]
Missed that one. I was searching for "pigtail" and "UVCH", didn't think of vccp. My wires were so faded I had to go with a process of elimination. Might've got the GP wires mixed, but I'd never replace just one GP that had an error anyways.
