Updated the original post: I meant to add that I purchased thread locker read and planned on using that whenever I install these and had no intention of ever removing them once they were installed.

Loctite RED will require a torch to remove them. IMO this is a bad idea as others have already posted.

How frequently are you using the shackles? Do you have a recovery gear bag or box with the other stuff?

Apoc, can you sand that rust off and rattle can it please. It's giving me a stomach ache just looking at it. I would face the tabs in and spray them also, and get yourself some damn lights for it even if you need to put some cheap ones in for now. If you can't swing the lights at this time, do the rest and I'll buy you the damn lights. Also move that tag up and cover that huge winch hole

Let me know about the lights, Christmas is almost here and I'm feeling good

/\ This. They look like hammer strikes. Maybe throw the stock bumper back on till you get some lights (?). Oh...and stop running into things.

I'll sand it and paint it tomorrow. Wendy is going in for her first shift at work and I'm finding a lot of time on my hands. I'll move my plate as well, been needing to for awhile and covering the winch hole would be perfect. I do carry a recovery box with me but my straps are not for huge trucks and I did that on purpose. I'm happy with pulling someone out of a ditch in the snow or pulling someone out of the flow of traffic, but I'll never pull another big truck out of the mud u less I must. I'm not going to risk destroying my rig for someone that bit off more than they could chew.

Por-15 the rust.

I say tips in because they seem to block the driving/fog light a bit when out.

Well I fixed the license plate today front and rear because I actually got new plates a few weeks ago and never put them on. I am waiting until tomorrow to do the sanding and painting though because I want to get my angle grinder out and take all of the powder coating off the shackle Holders and then paint it so it looks even and clean. I'll have some pics up tomorrow but I don't know how late because the adjusters coming to The house first thing in the morning and will be doing house things all day.

Bring the tools with you, if you have to hang around the house it'll be the perfect time for the paint to dry up and for you to do it properly taking time.

Tips in, and carry a spare shackle in the back of the Ex. You could use it to hook to those in a pinch to get yourself out if you can't get them apart. Best of both worlds.
