Swap code B rear springs for code A's

I've got a 2000 F350, SRW, 2wd, Powerstroke, long box with regular cab. I have 2 issues with the rear suspension. It rides like a shopping cart and the truck's *** sticks up like a dog in heat. I'd like to soften the ride and have it's stance leveled out. I've read many post here and elsewhere regarding solutions; custom leaf packs, air bags, upgraded shocks, adjusted tire pressure, added weight in the box, ect.

Last week I installed a pair of KYB Monomax shocks when I discovered a cracked leaf. I'm considering a pair of F250 code A, or Excursion springs. From what I can tell, the code A and Excursion springs are the same part number (YC35-5560-A), though the Excursion is a code G. Could someone confirm this???

The reduced load capacity of running a lighter duty spring is not an issue for me. I also know it'll never handle like a Caddy. I don't have the budget for airbags and removing leafs/custom pack leaves a lot of guess work on ride quality and height. I'm looking for a simple solution. How does the ride differ between the code A and B springs?
