Rear Spring ID

I recently discovered that I have the X code front springs. It came stock with the V code. I got to looking around because they looked newer and the truck seems to sit level. My question is how can I determine if I have upgraded rear springs? It came stock with A code springs but they look newer as well.

Is there a spray painted stencil tag on it?? My springs have the PN's sprayed on. You could measure ride height and compare to a V code truck. How many leaves are there?

Thanks for responding!
There are 5 springs and 1 up above. The bottom ones have a Ford # stamped on them; RPN 1792 2C34 CA. The top one has RPN 1682.
Hope someone knows what that means.

Oops, I was thinking you were asking about identifying X codes. I am not sure on the rears, I think they used different spring steel but usually the same number of leaves in the rear. You might want to try and contact partsguyed to see if there is a way to cross match that PN with a code...

Thanks for the info Walt. I may be a little dense, but I don't see a connection to my spring #'s. I have the ford logo stamped on mine, and if you look at Post #3 that's all I can see on mine.
The history of my truck as I know it; Originally if came with the V in front and A in back, according the door tag. Someone removed the front sway bar and added the X springs in front. They had a fifth wheel hitch of some sort in the rear, and the springs don't look like original. That is by the general appearance of them, rust etc. I would like to know what I have, for future reference for towing, etc.
