Hello, I have an 05 navigator with 130k. Around 115k I had a transmission flush. It shifts odd from 1st into 2nd, It does not kick or slip. Feels like your in a manual, there is a pause when 1st goes to second, the engine rpms will be the same and the front end will dip down like the trans is not engaged. Any one that is familiar with transmissions or anyone that had this issue and found the fix please help
The transmission is a 6 speed 6hp26 that was only used a couple years
Sounds like the electronic throttle control to me.
The pcm will back off the throttle just before commanding the shift. Sometimes it is much more noticeable than others depending on how you are accelerating.
My expedition is the same, and can at times feel like a shift from a manual trans. I'm Not a fan either, but it does help with transmission longevity.
The later trucks seem to be less pronounced or abrupt about it, but still perform the Same function.

I will check and clean any electrical and vacuum connections. Any way to check or verify it is the throttle control?
If you have a scanner that reads live data you could probably read the throttle position value. if the throttle backs off just before the shift without you lifting your foot, then you would know it is something being commanded by the pcm.
