The time has come...

I didn't have to go back in for anything but I have to be honest... I think I may have a rocker box leak..

It's not bad but it is a leak I didn't have before. That being said I wish I would have put a thin coat of gasket maker on the rocker box as DT Ron suggested. That's really it. I've gotten on it pretty heavy a few times and it is holding up nice!
Are you fixing to pull the trigger?

I will be when the weather breaks. I was going to pull the motor and put it on a stand so I can replace the lifters when I do the head gaskets, even built a stand (still work in progress).
Now I am thinking about doing what you did, pretty much exactly what you did. Remove everything in the front and pull the heads. I really don't have any running issues with the truck, except cooling system pressure.
It's good to know that someone else had success with this repair.
