Will also work on M-6007-A50SCA and salvage motors from 2015+ F150's with aftermarket custom software tuning and Mustang GT engine harness from a manual transmission car. The compression ratio of these motors is different and requires a custom tune to run properly."

So is your engine harness a FU5Z-12A581-E if so I think that's what i need, and maybe an oil pan with an oil sensor, or weld a fitting into my oil pan.
Hey Brent,
I moved your post as it seems more fitting here. Someday somebody is going to be doing the same, and running into the same issues, keeping it in one place helps. The FRPP harness is M-6017-504v. If you look that up at the FRPP website you can down load the PDF. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...ZF5MmvvzQxwVZw On page 10 it mentions the part number for the crate harness as I mentioned in post#3. The bottom few lines.

I would use the crate harness as the Mustang harness will most likely have unnecessary items as well.

But back to your oil filter adapter. If your block has three oil passageways, and the adapter only two... What does the third passageway connect to? That has me scratching my head. As long as you get that figured out for sure, yeah.. I'd say you just need that engine harness, the FRPP harness and an oil level sensor. Either weld in a bung or find a pan with one.

Nick, Thanks for the response and moving my post. I'll look into the FU5Z 12A587-E, that should be the right harness for a HotRod build.

The truck oil pan doesn't have the bubble that's giving you problems, but it also doesn't have a bung for the oil level sensor. I'll probable buy an oil sensor and figure a weld in bung. A new truck oil pan is only $38.00, and the level sensor is $22.00 so I can experiment without a big expense. On the next page of your manual is the other side of the engine harness, there is a C1572 O2 sensor shown by the oil pan. I don't know where that would be on the truck engine. I guess more calls to Ford Racing are in order.

I don't want to remove the Moroso adapter to look, so the other hole will be a mystery for now. It was an unfinished rough opening and probable didn't go to the oil passageways. It's the lower right opening in the pic. The other two ports are the "A & B" oil in and out ports, and are "O" ringed on the Moroso adapter.

Yeah. There are two empty pugs for the O² sensors. One down by the oil pan, and the other on the passenger rear cyl head. Those are part of the crate harness, the O² sensors that come with the FRPP barness just plug into those. I think you will completely remove your current harness, and install the crate harness and be good to go. Looking at mine it is one piece.

After much back and forth with Ford Racing Performance Parts, they have finally admitted that the 2015 engine harness listed as FU5Z 12A587-E does not exist. It's a typo on the controls pack instruction manual. The part # is FU5Z-12A581-E, "2015 Mustang engine harness for manual transmission". If your doing a F150 2015 Coyote engine swap, that's the engine harness to go with the FRPP 2015 Controls Pack M-6017-504V. Later you will need to re-tune the engine with aftermarket programming because the truck engine is 385 HP not 435 HP.

The 2015 Control Pack is on national back order to FRPP until late 12/2015. I guess my engine install is on hold until Spring. Maybe I'll look at body work and under-sealing the Panel Truck body.

I hope there isn't any typos in the wiring schematic . It sucks that the harness is on backorder, but it is still progress. Even if it doesnt feel like it right now.

Your oil filter relocate adapter got me wondering. I may have to go down that road also and wanted to see what the options were. I removed my factory oil filter adapter and took a look see. The crate engine has three oil passageways as well and looks identical to the picture you posted of yours. The reverse of the crate oil filter adapter looks like:

I called FRPP and spoke to a tech. He said there is a new oil filter relocate plate for the 2015+ engines. It has just become available a few days ago. It is the same part number as the old one, but has a letter "a" at the end. New part is M-6881-M50A. It still isn't available at retailers, but should be soon.

This makes me wonder if the Moroso adapter I bought is going to leak oil. You buy the parts that FRPP say fit, and then find that the 2014 and 2015 take different parts. I may have a Moroso adapter for sale.

Nick, thanks for the info.
