Honestly I want Motorcrafts, I had Fords before and the only ones that work for years are Motorcrafts. Glow plugs or spark plugs, I always use motorcrafts. Learned the hard way, bought 4 Champion spark plugs for my 1974 Ford Cortina, then Bosch and the engine still ran rough. Put Motorcrafts in and miracle has happened, pured like a kitten. Plus the Motorcrafts were rated for 60000km, sold it after 100000 and never even pulled them out to check. Of course those were 19mm thread plugs. Same with glow plugs, Motorcrafts last years.
i have been on the other side of the fence. i have seen enough of the other brands fail, sometimes after one tart that i will never use anything but motorcraft.
my 88 is on it's third set. first set lasted close to 350k miles. second set was champions, they all burned out within 25k miles. the current ZD-9's have about 125k miles on them.
i used to get trucks in the shop all the time that would not start unless plugged in that "had brand new glow plugs"
and every time the "new" plugs were not motorcrafts. put the motorcraft plugs back in and the trucks never came back for cold start problems again.
