Would you take this truck cross country?

I started it up this morning, 35 degrees out, started just like it does when it's warmed up. A little blue smoke on startup, but went away quickly. Top of engine is greasy but not oily wet, no trash. 4wd works, high and low. Still has the original turbo, what are the odds that it still works, shouldn't I be able hear it? I have not driven one of these before so don't have anything to judge it against. It seems to run good but not what I would call "sporty", had a hard time getting the rear tires to spin in the grass when I was testing the 4wd. The end is broken off the shift lever, hope I don't have to get too far into the column to fix that.

First, welcome to FTE! You are in good hands here and we'll help you get the truck right as well as spend your money. LOL I would just spend time really going through and cleaning it up, fixing leaks, and doing all the fluid changes. There are some fairly cheap mods you can do that will help it run and breathe much better. A one owner is a good truck to have because they usually have not been tampered with too much.
