Longevity

I have a 2000 2wd EB expedition with 141,000 miles.
It is the best vehicle I have owned.
My question is "how many miles can I expect out of
the drivetrain before major mtce (ie, engine/trans rebuild)?
Tks in advance for any and all input.....

Depending on how well it's been maintained-they can last from 10K miles to well over 300K. I've personally seen a few modulars with nearly 300K miles on them,and the trans made about 250K on a couple of them. My personal F150 made ~190K miles before the trans gave up(first 107K miles was without a trans cooler at all,and the previous owner towed a large boat with it),but the engine is plenty strong at 206K miles now.

Johnny, tks for the reply on longevity.
What I failed to mention in my original post is that I am one of the old
schoolers who likes to buy from a dealer who gives good service;
consequently, I have followed Ford's guidelines for maintenance
and always by authorized Ford dealers, even as far away as Fairbanks, AK.

Honestly then,you shouldn't have anything to worry about. If by chance you have a 4R70W behind that modular,it's good for at least 150K miles,if not more if serviced properly.
