Hello all,
I have a quesiton. I am looking at replacing my headlights on my 2002 F350. How are the Halo Projector Headlights? Or what other Headlights would anyone recommend?
Thanks all for the advise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I upgraded mine to the "No Boundaries" version and am extremely happy with them. I'm running Silverstar Ultras and have had them for about a year now. I paid about $75 total for them brand new. They look much better than the regular ones, and are extremely bright.

Thanks for the advise. Did you get those online or in a store like napa or auto zone?
I got them from Amazon. They were $25/ea and another $25 for the Silverstar bulbs. They actually came with bulbs, but I just keep them in the dash for spares.

I went for the cheapest internet special OE style replacements for my 2002, got both for like $65. Yaay! One is Depot brand and fit and finish is fine. Other is TYC brand and not so good on the light pattern. Booo! Not bad, but not as good as OE or the Depot. Also running HIDs which typically do not play nice with the careful OE reflective bits. So the whole deal lacks precision but makes up for it in output, IMO. Pattern is plenty tight enough to avoid blinding oncoming drivers but nothing like the knife edges of day and night on the high end modern Mercedes or BMW, for example.
Another way to get brighter lights is a DIY headlight harness. In the stock configuration the juice flows from the batteries to the headlight switch and back to the headlights, all on skinny wire. DIY harness will use the headlight switch as a switch only, tripping relays on nice hefty wire run short and straight from the batteries to the lamps. Need a couple relays and some wire and google up some diagrams. This will literally amp up your lights, of any kind.

Thanks for the advise. I will look into this. Sounds pretty good.
If you have the plastic lenses and they have yellowed, get some Deep Woods Off w Deet, about $2.50 a can. Spray it on and wipe it off the lenses several times.
You'll be amazed at the difference it makes and will help you see a lot better until you make your mind up about your future lights.
The 03-04 OEM housings have the 'crystal clear' lens, which is alot better than the earlier ones. For a great upgrade, find some 05-07 OEM housings and bulbs. The reflector/lens combo is way superior to the earlier ones, and the housings are rugged and watertight (which a lot of the aftermarket ones are not!). I found mine on CL for $65.
Search '05 headlight upgrade' for what is involved. Totally worth it!
I just installed a set of Spyder Halos today. Havent got pics up yet. I came down with a nasty cold this morning and feel like crap. But will get pics here within the next couple hours. First impressions, I really really like them. Yes I did have to cut a bit of the inner support/fiberglass out from behind the headlights to fit them in. But I didnt think it was nearly as much as people cry about in reviews.
I also didnt think they were nearly as difficult to install overall as people cried about in reviews.
Took me just about an hour flat to swap out both sides.
Have to hard wire the LED's and Halos in. I do recommend spending the extra money on the CCFL Halos and not getting LED Halos. I cant compare the two but alot of reviews complained about the LED Halos not being bright, but I think the CCFL halos I have are perfect. Maybe 10% less than the Halos on a BMW M5 I once had.
Other than trimming and hard wiring the LEDs/Halos in, it was plug and play, pull the old retaining clips out. Remove lower screws.
Re-Use retaining clips.
Re-Use screws but I had to use a washer on each screw as the hole on the new spyders was bigger than the head of the original lower mounting screws. But I have an assortment of stuff like that on hand.
Now like I said, Ive had them installed literally for less than an hour. So I cant attest to longevity of them. But I figured for around 255 bucks if they last 2 years I will just buy another set. But I want and like the Halo/Projector look over the factory lights.
So, it's 2017 last post here was 2015 ... any recommendations on upgrading the lighting on my 2002 F-350? Would like to stick as close to stock as possible, wouldn't mind changing lamp/reflector assemblies, and might consider harness upgrade. What bulbs do you recommend.
