R&D stud girdle

to those of you that have used this product,
how did you solve the oil pick up tube bracket?

relocate tab, & drill and tap?
ran it off the same stud?

i have not installed the pump and pick up yet.
still working on installing pistons and rods.

Justin told me just to use the same stud. I have not installed mine but he said the thickness of the girdle is equivalent to the stock bolt head with the stud sticking out of the top. As I understood it the ARP stud passes through the girdle, through the pick up tube bracket and then the nut tightens down.

i agree.
just got done washing the pump & pickup.
in my mind i thought i would have to do something different.
when looking at it, the bracket will need to be drilled out.
easy enough.
remove washer, and retorque nut.

hope to get the rods, slugs and oil pump& pan on tomorrow

I need to include that info in the instructions.... Thanks for reminding me...

Yes... For the record... You drill out the bracket to 1/2", and replace the washer for that stud with the bracket.

Believe it or not, though I recommend it, I dont even use it myself.... I just use standard assembly lube on all the fasteners.... My recommendation comes right through me from ARP. Ive used it in the past, and its clear why they recommend it, I just dont think its a complete necessity...
