So the transmission goes into drive and reverse really fast and harder than I am used to. Also it will not upshift from first when it's in drive. I can manually shift it 1-2 but when I hit drive it goes back to spaz mode. Speedometer is working and there is NO CEL. I've read a bunch of threads with the same exact symptoms but nobody has posted what it ended up being 🤔

Mark, you and I have been talking about this and I feel dumber than a bag of hammers because I assumed that it was an E4OD all along... and you know what they say about assumptions I've been working on it in the dark and just saw all the wiring and plugs, assumed it was an E4OD like my other trucks of the era... WRONG, it's a C6 which blew my mind! I looked at the MLPS closer and realized it looks much different than my E4OD trucks. I would assume given the 522 code that it is still the MLPS and naturally nobody carries one for the C6, only the E4OD. so I'm gonna get her ordered up and report back. Thanks for the help!

I should add that somehow I missed the fact that there was no circle around the D on the dash... I think i need to get a new sticker for my helmet
There is no MLPS on a C6, so it isn't your problem. And I have no idea how a C6 would set that code.
Most likely you have no vacuum to the transmission modulator valve, or a bad modulator. It's located at the rear of the trans. It's a round can about 2-3" in diameter and is supposed to have a vacuum line from engine manifold vacuum attached.
The first thing to check is to remove the vacuum line at the modulator and see if there ATF in it. If so, the modulator has failed and needs to be replaced. If there is no ATF start the engine and see if there is vacuum in the line.
It could also be a problem with the kickdown rod. If it's stuck in the kickdown position it will prevent upshifts.
I would delete this thread since it turned out to be a whirlwind... long story short, make sure you KNOW what trans you've got before pulling codes and brainstorming. Thanks to everyone and especially Mark for being so quick to help with his extensive transmission knowledge.
Actually, this is just the kind of thread that should be kept. I suspect most OBS PSD people presume that the only relevant automatic is the E4OD. Someone else may run into something similar in the future, and if they find this thread on a search, it'll help lead them in the right direction.
I have yet to road test it but when I pulled the hose off the vacuum modulator about a half pint of Type F came running out... So the modulator is toast. That should correct the shifting issues. Also, it was throwing a 522 trouble code (transmission not in park during KOEO test) which it actually was, so I am putting a Neutral safety switch in it as well just as a precaution.
