No power
I turned it off and then proceeded to start it back up. It started just fine and the "engine" light was illuminated.
I put in "D" and the truck had no power, it barely moved. However, in reverse it seemed to have more power. I crawled back home with hardly any power.
As I started to look closer, I noticed my oil level was low. I added perhaps 3-4 quarts. I also noted that my air filter and fuel filter needed a change. Unfortunately, this vehicle is driven perhaps 1k - 2k a year and no routine maintenance is performed. I guess I'm learning the hard way.
The next day, I realized that it would not even start. After several attempts, it started but it was very rough and it shut off within 2-3 seconds if I'm lucky. I don't believe the weather is a factor, since it was around 40 degrees. And it was last driven just several days ago.
So for now, I have gone ahead and replaced my CPS and ICP sensor. I plan on replacing the IPR sensor as well if the items above do not rectify the problem.
Are there any other issues that can be recommended that I look into before I take it in (that is if I can get to start/or towed) for having my valve covers removed and replace my harnesses?
thanks
steve
