You must have posted while I was typing. The tailgate is damaged pretty bad. And they wouldn't fess up to it? What a bunch of cheeseballs. You would think their insurance would cover such a thing. Maybe further inquiries are in order.
Yeah, I would definitely try to contact the head of the transport company, that is BS if they can do that much damage to your truck and not pay for it.
Yeh, the shipping agent who i used said it looks exactly like the shape of the underside of car transporter ramps. The shipping company that the agent put the job out to said it was impossible for this to happen, the shipping agent said they had to say that because of their insurance! They did give me their insurers and said i could take it up with them if i wanted but that they would not be admitting responsibility.
Engine bay pictures, needs a little clean. Put some new headlights in today as the original ones were all yellowed. Seat out and carpet cleaning tomorrow, will see howit comes up, might buy a new one from Stick Interiors.

If that needs to be cleaned, then you definitely don't want to look under the hood of my truck
4 years as a farm truck and driving mostly dirt roads has made it pretty ugly under there.
The carpet turned out great! Where did you get it?
Nice find!
A couple of questions, for you:
1) What brand did carpet did you use? That looks to fit very nicely!
2) Did you end up pursuing their insurance on that tailgate damage?
I had a car damaged in shipment before, and the company totally screwed me over. The dented the roof (badly), and would never admit fault. My brother took delivery of the car and never inspected it, though, so it was partially on me for not doing my due diligence as a buyer.
My newest truck (9th gen) is in shipment right now. I have pictures and video documenting every stitch of the truck (the seller was very helpful). If there is any damage I am not going to be happy.
Not to thread jack though; love the color combo, and the condition is impeccable. Enjoy it!

I used a custom made carpet from Auto Carpet for Car, Truck, Van - Stock Interiors the fit and quality was excellent. I sent off for several color swatch and carpet samples which arrived within a week. I then went for their "Ultra plush" carpet, cost me just short of $200, their regular plush ($121) was more or less identical to the Ford factory OEM carpet but i wanted it a bit plusher so upgraded. The carpets are heat and pressure molded to the original floor shape plus there's about a 4" oversize round the edges for trimming. They also have a heavy Jute material on the back to reduce sound/heat in the foot wells. I would highly recommend them, google them for a discount code too
I didn't do anything about the damage, i put a tailgate cap on that covers it but painted the whole top edge with Hercules bed liner first. You can buy a brand new painted tailgate on ebay for $350 figured if i ever come into some "disposable" money i'd go for one of those but its out of sight so out of mind at the moment.
Good luck on the truck arriving dent free, hope it goes ok.
