need help with overheating

98 5.4L v8 and the obo stopped @359999 after i bought it and put a new engine in her,but i need help my truck is blowing white smoke out of the vents. i have been told could be the heater core, radiator line ... not sure.can anyone help me with this?

Only way it get out of the vents is the heater core.

For short term, you can cut and splice the heater hoses together under the hood and take the heater core out of the loop. Truck will still run, but no heat in the cab. ....... if you loosing coolant, it should have a sweet smell, and will leave a residue on the windshield when in defrost mode.

Check to see that your loosing coolant from the overflow tank.......... no possibility you dumped something inside the duct when changing out the motor ?

Blowing smoke? Sounds like maybe the blower motor is going bad on you. A guy I used to work with years ago had his catch fire and burned half the dash up. If it's the heater core do something soon. The stuff will make your headliner deteriorate and start falling down.
